Easy Payments with Arrangr using Stripe
How it Works
Once you have set up your scheduling page to accept payments, your clients will see the price when they visit your scheduling page, as shown in the image below:
Then, once your. e "Continue" button on the Review step of your scheduling page, they'll be prompted to enter their payment info, as shown in theclient clicks th
Instant-Book Meetings
When your client submits their payment info, we have Stripe authorize the charge on their card without actually charging it (similar to when a hotel places a hold on your card but doesn't charge you until you check out). After authorizing the charge, Arrangr double-checks that you're still available for the time they submitted. If so, we book the meeting and capture the charge on your behalf, so the funds go directly to you. If the time they selected is no longer available, Arrangr will not yet capture the charge and will prompt them to select another time. If they bail, their card will never be charged, although the authorization may show up on their credit card statement. However, if they select a new time and resubmit, Arrangr will not have to re-collect their payment info and will still capture the charge as soon as the meeting is booked.
Non-Instant-Book Meetings
If your scheduling page does not use Instant-Book, Arrangr will collect their payment info and authorize the charge when they submit their invitation. Even though they have authorized the charge, the payment is not captured until the meeting is confirmed (when you accept the time they proposed). It's important to note, however, that their authorization of the charge is only valid for 7 days, so the meeting must be booked within that time frame to ensure the payment is captured successfully.
If you decline their invitation or do not confirm a meeting time within 7 days, their card will not be charged. They may see an item on their card statement indicating they authorized the charge, which can be confusing. However, until Arrangr actually captures the charge on their behalf, no funds are transferred. If it doesn't happen, the amount will be returned to their balance.
Back-and-Forth Invitations
If they authorize a charge when sending you an invite, Arrangr will still capture the charge when they accept your counter-proposal, even if you respond with alternative times. Even if there are a few back-and-forth messages before a time is confirmed, the charge will be captured once a time is confirmed, as long as it is within 7 days of the original charge authorization.
